Check out the following destinations in the National Park for kid-friendly nature exploration!

  • Jenny Lake: Boat ride across the lake and hike to Hidden Falls and/or Inspiration Point.
  • String Lake: Spend the day on the beautiful beaches of String Lake. Swimming, paddling boarding, boating, easy walking, and/or a picnic in an incredibly mountain scenic spot! Can’t find this view at home!
  • Laurence T. Rockefeller Visitor’s Center: Easy/Moderate hiking to Death Canyon with a wonderful sensory-themed visitor’s center at the trailhead. Parking is limited, but worth the wait!

4. Great Strolling Spots
Rent our town or jogging stroller and hit up the following spots.

  • Bike Path (Suitable for town stroller or jogging stroller): The paved bike path offers over 50 miles of strolling or biking from Grand Teton National Park to Teton Village. Get a map from Teton Pathways for access points along the route.
  • Snake River Levee at Emily’s Pond (Suitable for jogging stroller): This is the local “river park” for strolling and exercise enthusiasts. Wide flat dirt walking along the scenic Snake River.
  • National Elk Refuge (Suitable for jogging stroller): Walk the dirt Elk Refuge Road for incredible views and wildlife viewing. Watch out for Elk and Mountain Goats galore!

5. Summer Nightlife for the Kiddos
Check out the following Summer Season family friendly evening activities.

  • Town Square Shoot Out: nightly 6 pm on the town square. Fun free show by the Jackson Hole Playhouse!
